Load cells can become damaged through overloading, misalignment, impact, stretching, or water. They take millivolt signals and turn them into numeric readings for indicators.
Load cells come in many different forms:
- Compression type load cells – truck scales, hi-impact, tanks
- Double ended shear beams - truck scales, tanks, hoppers, bins
- Singled ended shear beams – floor scales, hopper scales, and
- Single point load cell – bench scales
- S-type load cells – force measurement, compression
Most load cells are analog
Accuracy and Stability
CPD-M digital output is superior to traditional analog output load cells. The onboard microprocessor uses temperature and linearity compensation data stored during production testing to insure accuracy much greater than any analog output load cell.
